GE 2006: It simmers

If you just don't go to work at the right time. i.e. 0730 at most MRT stations to grab a copy of TODAY, this is an interesting read for the day, don't miss it.

Is political tea too bitter a brew?

An excerpt:

She confessed that she had been invited to tea many times, and each time, had given "no" as an answer.
.
"Politics is not my cup of tea. I don't look good in white. PAP's tea is too bitter for me," she said.

SDA has no manifesto.

Chiam See Tong is truly exemplary as the opposition with the most years of experience and the most down-to-earth strategies. What he says:

Singapore Democratic Alliance (SDA) chairman Chiam See Tong is taking a realistic approach to the coming General Election and has decided not to come up with a party manifesto.

His reasoning? Manifestos sketch out plans of governance and there was no point in talking of taking over a government at a time when there are only two Opposition MPs in Parliament.
